I bought this while trying to troubleshoot a problem with a cable modem with a 2.5G ethernet port. When connecting the cable modem to the router via S+RJ10, the router reports that the interface is running at 2.5G, but the actual performance was poor. I actually improved performance by plugging the modem into the router's 1G port! Later I moved the transceiver to the port where my NAS connects to the router. I had weird NFS freezes when using 9K jumbo frames. The problems went away when I replaced the S+RJ10 with an H!Fiber transceiver that cost a lot less. Overall, I do not recommend this transceiver for use with my Mikrotik router. It runs hotter, costs more, and has more issues than third-party transceivers.
