I purchased these despite the negative reviews because they were the right size and I thought I could live with the chance the quality might be a bit lacking. That turned out to be a gross underestimate. These manufacturers did not adhere to even basic standards of fabric manufacture: The dye used was never treated to be color fast. So the white bands that were bright white before washing are now dull blueish despite using three Color Catchers in each of two washings. I tried to correct the color of the "whites" in the photos to be accurate. The hems lacked any back-stitching to prevent fraying. So, one corner came completely apart on the first drying and several others (I got two towels) were just beginning to come apart. So, I had to get out the sewing machine and resew the one corner and reinforce all the others. You can see in the close-up of one hem corner that the stitching was just run off the edge and cut-off or tie-off.The material itself is shedding terribly. I rewashed them twice, and either it is continuing to shed or the pills are just stuck in the fabric so that it looks terrible. I could not vacuum out the pills even with a big shop vac.I gave it one star for the nice big size. For $20 I expected a quality towel. NOT!
