Not a good sensor! - Sensors

car does not start after installation. I have been using AC Delco parts for over 50 years and have very rarely encountered any problems. If I used E-Bay I would get my money back no problem. Live and learn!

Pros
  • certified
Cons
  • out of fashion

ACDELCO SCRAP for parts

I BOUGHT THIS ONE YEAR AGO. I REALLY INSTALLED IT TWO MONTHS AGO. IT'S GONE NOW. SCRAP METAL. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH ACDELCO FOR MY LAST 3 PIECES PURCHASED THROUGH AMAZON. I WILL NOT THROW MY MONEY AT ACDELCO ANY MORE. This appears to be another Chinese scam.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Damaged

Original AC/Delco best in crankshaft position

My 99 Tahoe 5.7 sensor failed but changing to my 99 Suburban sensor didn't help. Went home, diagnosed. Long story short it was the sensor and then the Suburban started behaving so I replaced that too lol.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Expensive

Fixed code p0335 on s10 2002 camshaft position sensor A

I have had problems with RPM, shifting and sometimes starting. This fixed it. I was able to accelerate on track without slowing down in anticipation of a change. Just installed today, we'll see in the long run. I'm not a mechanic.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Communication with seller

No problem, I hope the Chinese made AC Delco lasts a long time.

Have been using this crankshaft position sensor for a few months now with no problems even though it is made in "Mainland China". Required a .20" washer which was not included. 8mm screw for removal and installation. However, to get the most out of it, I needed a scanner that would relearn the crankshaft sensor.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Hard to say

OE quality part, factory fit and working, easy to install

I purchased this sensor (213-3208) to replace the stock crankshaft position sensor on my 1999 GMC K1500 Suburban (GMT400, L31 body) Vortec 350 V8 substitute. Perfect fit and functionality and very easy installation. I always recommend using OEM parts for whatever make of car you are working on (AC Delco for GM, Motorcraft for Ford etc) and this is a great example of why.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Obsolete

Do not buy this from this dealer!

OK, this product HAS TO WORK RIGHT. It's not like this. All my sensors have been replaced. But I have problems with that! It's not even that old. I can't even return it because I have no way of contacting the seller! Uhhhh. I ended up with about $50/60. Now I have to BUY ONE more. IT SAYS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY. YEAH RIGHT! IT IS WRONG TO SELL A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT!

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • So-so

Crankshaft sensor failed after 18 months

I've had engine stall issues due to overheating and replaced the crankshaft sensor with this one as a precaution. The car had a lot of problems lately and then died completely. The crankshaft sensor failed 18 months ago, shorted. We put the old one in and the car started straight away. I expect the original part to last a lot longer than this, also we didn't ride anywhere in 2020 so it wasn't ridden once for 12 months out of 18. . The part failed earlier than it should.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I have been working as a mechanic since 1974. I've always used ACDelco on GM trucks. No longer. This is the second consecutive sensor not working immediately. Firstly, I was ill for weeks and didn't have the strength to replace the crankshaft sensor when it arrived. The truck starts, then idles rough and worst of all under load. The one I replaced had 2 spacers. So I put 2 spacers on top of the new one. Then 1, then none. It does not matter. In the past, they always worked right out of the box.

Pros
  • Makes me happy
Cons
  • Repair
