Perfect for complicated carbide meshes!

Ideal for chain mail. The tiny chisel tip penetrates into very narrow spaces. Great for hard metals like stainless steel, bronze and even fine brass if you are careful. Buy a pair if you work a lot with intricate fabrics and tough metals. You will not regret it.

Pros
  • Holding my fists
Cons
  • No instructions

Halve my working hours!

I have used smaller pliers for many years. They are way better than my 18 and 16 ga projects. Made from stainless steel takes less than half the time and no bubbles! They were a little more than I was willing to pay, but they are WAY BETTER than my cheap ones. If you take your work seriously, this is a great buy.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Available in white only

Great tools! on Jewelry Making Tools and Supplies

This is my 3rd set of Xurons! The chisel tip is great for tight spaces and the others I've had are great. They are comfortable to hold and have never had any problems with them. I was told they only cost 18g or less; They can hold 16g but you risk breaking them. If you want to start chain mail, this is a great tool.

Pros
  • Feels Good
Cons
  • I'm Worried

I got these because *someone* said they were good for cutting sprues onto miniatures. Neither my son, who is constantly making miniatures from kits and has various sprue cutters, nor I know how to cut sprues with them. These are well made pliers though, so I'm hoping to find some real use for them at some point.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are other interesting possibilities.

Great for chain mail!

I just LOVE these pliers. They are excellent for making chain jewelry. The chisel nose is versatile, both for grasping large sections of jump rings for leverage and for penetrating tiny gaps in tissues. I bought a second pair and use them almost exclusively. It also lies very comfortably in the hand and, unlike other pliers, does not tire after hours of making chain mail.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Too stupid

Great pliers

I thought they were wire cutters and was a bit disappointed when they arrived but they didn't last very long. As soon as I used these little pliers I was hooked. The short nose on them gives plenty of torque and they're great for opening any size sweater, as well as all basic loops. As a bonus, they grab the wire better than my Lindstrom in tight turns, which is amazing. I look forward to finding more uses for these little beauties.

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • So far so good

Very impressed

Very impressed with these pliers. I bought two. I started making chains and working with stainless steel rings. My pliers that I got earlier didn't cut it. They work so well with stainless steel. Does all the work for him and makes it much easier to securely close jumper rings even with thicker wires. The only thing I wish we had was more padding on the handles. But it's definitely not a deal breaker. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • RawTreasues
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Pointed chisel, very strong

These pliers are very sharp and strong enough. I can press down hard on a piece of brass right at the tip and it instantly deforms into a thin disk - this was exactly the flattening/flattening result I was hoping for. I have worked a lot with very small metal parts and these pliers immediately became my favorite and most useful tool. I can easily work with a light touch to grip and manipulate/bend small parts with ease, and yet they can also seriously compress malleable metal when needed.

Pros
  • Maille chain pliers for working in hard-to-reach places
Cons
  • Legacy model
