False Advertisement!

There are many different options to choose from when selecting which pete pots to purchase online. One of the reasons I chose this product is because of the labels that it supposedly came with. It is very handy to have your plant labels when you have an abundance of sprouting herbs and flowers like I do. however they failed to send me my plant labels, very disappointing! :/

Pros
  • These are rolled over at the top which makes them very sturdy
Cons
  • It’s not a deal breaker for me, but my pots came with no trays or labels

Great product and price

I needed a large number of these pots for a gardening product I had. They're great, sturdy and yet will dissolve when its time. I also appreciated the set of garden tags. thanks!

Pros
  • This is a gardener’s bargain. All these peat pots plus plastic label sticks!
Cons
  • The pots might not be durable enough to withstand harsh weather conditions

These pots rocked our habanero seeds

These pots are cheap and yet they do their job extremely well. Never used them before, but started growing habanero plants. We transplanted into these and watched em grow. The paper-ness of the plants is nice because they get wet when you water, and the soil pulls away from the sides when they dry.giving you a good indicator of moisture. However, we had to use a baking tray to water as they got more delicate when they were wet. After enough time, we transplanted out of these into planters and it

Pros
  • This product is great for plants.
Cons
  • The pots might retain too much moisture, causing harm to your seeds

Low Quality Product

I used this product to start seedlings for my garden and they are too thin and don't hold water as well as thicker ones. I ordered 2 packs of 100 and received 97 3" pots and one 1" pot in each package shorting me 3 3" pots in each package. I don't think I will order these again.

Pros
  • They work as one would expect them to. I like the stick labels included.
Cons
  • The peat pots might not break down properly, leaving a mess in your garden

OK Product! best in my review

This product work well yet I recommend you be careful. When you water the pots become very soft & well begin to deteriorate rather quickly. When you go to plant the seedlings the pots can easily fall apart. A good thing is they absorb water well & root do grow through them nicely. I have used other brands that work better. I’m sorry I do not recall the brand I used. I do recommend this product just careful.

Pros
  • Prevent Transplant Shock:No transplant shock since there's no need to transfer plants after starting.
Cons
  • The pots might be more fragile than plastic alternatives, making them harder to handle

Exactly what I wanted. Perfect size & no plastic.

Ordered these to transfer seedlings into something bigger. Exactly what I needed. Perfect size for what I was doing and being able to plant the entire pot is a really nice bonus. Will definitely order again.

Pros
  • These worked great for starting seeds for my garden. Have lots left over to use next year.
Cons
  • The pots might not be suitable for growing larger plants

Good for starting seeds

This product was everything I expected except there was a hole in the bag and my labels were missing. Not worth the effort to pack it back up send it back for a replacement.

Pros
  • Useful cups and plant tags. Breathes better than plastic pots. Peat is good for plants/veggies.
Cons
  • The biodegradable material might contain harmful chemicals

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Disappointing on my review.

Got fuzzy white mold all over them within a couple of days. When I tried to pick one up, it fell apart. Won't be using them again.

Pros
  • I like the sturdiness of these pots. I planted many tomato plants to give away to friends
Cons
  • The quantity of pots might be too many for your needs

Fantastic biodegradable pots

Started seeds in these pots and transplanted whole pot in garden when the roots were emerging through the sides of the pot. With the ability of planting the whole pot, my plants did not suffer any shock. Love these pots!

Pros
  • My TOMATOE were fabulous!!
Cons
  • The pots might require extra care and attention when handling to prevent damage

It does mold badly: my feedback

this thing dry fast and then with the water to keep the soil wet it molds very badly. at first, i thought the molding in the reviews indicated overwatering, but the set i bought from grocery store does not have this problem.

Pros
  • Easy to label
Cons
  • The pots might not be strong enough to withstand pruning or trimming

Ok in a pinch best in my review

I have blown through 200 of these. They are harbingers of mold and sad plants because of the way they retain moisture. I kept thinking it was me, until I noticed they barely decompose. Stick with actual peat pots. You and your plants will be happier.

Pros
  • Versatile: These pots can be used for a variety of plants, including herbs, vegetables, and flowers
Cons
  • The pots might not be practical for starting seeds in limited space

Were good for transplanting seedlings

I used them to transplant seedlings before putting the plants into the garden. When I was ready to plant them in the garden, the pots were soft enough to pull away some of the peat so that the new roots could grow more freely. I was very satisfied.

Pros
  • Need a bigger pack
Cons
  • The pots might attract mold or fungus if they become too wet or damp

Perfect size pots good for me

This is a great value for the money pods. I was using plastic cups before I found these ones, and it took a lot of work to take a plant out of the pot without damaging it, in addition I bought a big pack of disposable plastic cups which I am trying to avoid in order to keep our planet safe. From now on I will be buying these pots only - no dirty work - plant a seed, after seedling stage just place it in the ground and you are entitled to the good harvest. Isn't it perfect?

Pros
  • They work great! But definitely don't over water or they grow mold on the outside.
Cons
  • The pots might not provide enough drainage for your plants

Great Deal ! for my opinion

I’m not exactly a green thumb but I wanted to try and plant some seeds And these small pots did exactly the trick! Very happy with my purchase and very quick delivery!

Pros
  • They work great!
Cons
  • The pots might not fit into your existing seed starting trays

Perfect for my needs!

My zinnia seedlings graduated to these pots and hardly knew they had been moved to the garden. I'll have a bumper crop of blooms!

Pros
  • Works well, arrived perfect and quick
Cons
  • The labels included might not be durable enough to survive harsh weather conditions

THEY DON’T HAVE DRAINAGE HOLES

These pots are kind of small compared to others. Only downside is they do not have drainage holes. Seem durable cause it’s been more than a month and there’s a rogue pot in my garden still flying around. Isn’t doing no harm. Lol

Pros
  • Patio, Lawn & Garden
Cons
  • The pots might cause soil pH changes, affecting the growth of your plants

Moldy mess best in my review

I have used peat pots for over 10 years. These are not peat pots. They do NOT wick water, but they do mold. What a mess! I start my plants in a bay window. Everything was moldy. Never an issue any other year. I tried to save a dollar by buying these. What a mustake!

Pros
  • The pots are a good size and can be planted directly into the garden reducing transplant shock.
Cons
  • The peat material might have a negative environmental impact due to its extraction process

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Biodegradable on my review.

Tried plastic as starter pots but seedlings were damaged in transfer. With this pot just put whole pot in ground and let it biodegrade without damage to plants.

Pros
  • Environmentally friendly
Cons
  • The pots might not provide enough stability for plants grown in windy conditions

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Run from these - pay a little more and get Jiffy

Not fully peat - looks like much paper/cardboard mixed in. Results are the pot has no strength when slightly damp. Far to easy to damage the tender seedling roots as the bottom 1/3 to 1/2 of the pot separates from the top portion. Will not buy again. On the only positive note - the markers are good.

Pros
  • Perfect for organic gardening: Because these pots are made from natural peat, they're perfect for organic gardening
Cons
  • The pots might become too dry and brittle if left in direct sunlight for too long

Great way to start a grden

Bought these so I can start gardening for the first time. They were very sturdy, especially after the rain. I bought a different kind where they got soft after getting wet. Will buy these again next year.

Pros
  • Widely Used: Each is 4 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. These nursery pots are perfect sized for starting flowers, succulents, vegetable seedlings and other plant seeds.
Cons
  • The pots might not be sturdy enough for outdoor use
